How to get your own girl “stalker”: Prelude
The “girl stalker” referenced in the title of this upcoming series had the following quotation in her e-mail signature: No one can make you feel inferior without your permission –Eleanor Roosevelt. I can’t believe I still remember that.
I was inspired to write my recollection of the whole ugly affair after I was turned on to the girl blog war referenced here:
I’m going to switch gears here and talk a little bit about Internet drama. A couple of weeks ago, an altercation happened between two bloggers. A blog called L’undone started getting exposure and the masses started putting two and two together and realized that “lola” was actually writing about The Girl Who. Apparently, Lola used to date The Girl Who’s husband and there was a bit of real life drama when the couple broke up. What follows is a “tale of high-weirdness, big love, cyber crime, and the mutual insane obsession of two people who never even met.”
The drama is even more laughable when you find out that these two ladies are absolutely destroyed because the other one had the audacity to read their blog. Supposedly, this constitutes as stalking now. After that, there is a lot of back and forth and the masses jump into the fray condemning the ladies for being “crazy.”
Like both women involved in this blog drama, I manufactured the drama and I kept it going. Shit, it’s completely possible that my “girl stalker” had no fucking clue I was trashing her to my friends and playing the victim. Wouldn’t that be hilarious? I held the key to making the drama stop, but I liked it. It kept my focus away from some unpleasant matters at hand, it got me attention. (Not unlike a blog, really, but I digress).
Religion is so 20th century. Drama is the new opiate of the masses.
Edited to add: Consulted college journal and got the ugly facts in order. Part one is up.

Off topic here, but it seems as if the recently formed snark site inspired by The Insult is either down or gone. Any insight?

Yeah, I’ve got some insight:
snark site rule #1–tread lightly when snarking lawyers, or better yet, don’t snark at all.
No word on whether or not there will be a new incarnation.

Are you serious? Has another one been shut down? Is this legal? How do they keep shutting these sites down. This is becoming ridiculous.
